Cheap Ceramic Art Dish - Jaguar Spots - Ceramic Dish - Art Bowl

The design on this dish was inspired by a northern Peruvian stirrup spout jar. The original artifact was decorated with a jaguar head and round pelt markings. I have used the jaguar spots to decorate the interior of this organically shaped ceramic dish which I hand made from a beautiful chocolate colored clay. cheap After I designed and painted the spots, I covered the interior of the dish with a food safe glaze.

The diameter of the dish is about 7.5 - 8 inches and it is about 1.5 inches tall. The dish is made from a mid range dark brown clay which fired to over 2100 degrees F. It could be used as a jewelry dish, change bowl, candy dish or even to hold business cards in your office. You could also simply have it as a decorative piece.

Each dish is hand formed and painted by me. No two will be exactly alike even when a similar design is used.
