I started this art themed mixed media collage because of a local art gallery. Each month the owner puts packets of various products together centered around a specific theme and you have to use at least 5 of the items.

This specific month proved to be a bit more difficult than other months, but I was pleased in the end with the outcome. I thought the quote was very fitting for the theme. As an artist, I really feel like life and the things in it are perceived completely differently from person to person based on our past experiences. What I feel about something can be completely different from how the next person sees it.

As always, I had lots of fun painting the background and mixing some silver glitter in. I found some pretty lace and tulle to dress up the quote, as well as random ribbon and other findings to decorate around it.

This mixed media collage measures 11 x 14.
