Stunning Large Bird of Paradise Brooch with cheap Onyx Body and Garnet Eye, Sterling Silver and Marcasite

This beautiful brooch features a large Bird of Paradise set in sterling silver and encrusted in sparkling marcasite stones. The bird's breast is a polished inverted teardrop of onyx. The bird's eye is a marquise shaped garnet.

This piece is around 2 3/4 inch long. It would be a wonderful addition to a fall or winter jacket.

The cheap closure is a safety clasp. The back of the brooch is stamped 925.

This piece is in excellent condition. It has a bit of tarnish but can easily be polished up to the new owner's taste. I see no missing stones.
