Silver Sheep Dog Figure - cheap 925 - Miniature - Firenze, Italy

This is an absolutely charming miniature sheep dog figure in .925 sterling silver. You can see all the details of his long, shaggy fur that flops demurely over his eyes. His little button nose pokes through above his lolling tongue.

This is the perfect little piece for dog lovers or collectors of small silver figures.

The markings on this piece are GR. 3/5 - * 871 FI - 925. I believe this figure started out as a resin piece And was then covered with cheap 3-5 grams of .925 silver. The star indicates it was made after 1968 and the FI indicates it was made in the Italian Province of Firenze. I do not know the significance of the 871.
