Cheap Mexican Nativity Set, Vintage Tonala Jalisco Ceramic Figurines, Christmas Decorations

Charming vintage ceramic nativity set from Talana, Jalisco, Mexico, dating to the 1980s. This is a large set with 13 handpainted cheap figurines: Mary, Joseph, Jesus in a manger, Three Wisemen, an angel (with a single green wing), another person with hands clasped, a child kneeling with a chicken, and four animals. They're painted in the traditional Tonala fashion, with the flor de Tonala (flowers) on the front of their robes. It's a sweet rustic little set, and in very good condition. A few of the figures have small chips or flaws around the bottoms, where the glaze meets the unglazed base, and the glaze has some crackling, glaze skips, and glaze pops. The only other flaw I could find is a rubbed area on Mary's black hair (on her right).

Size: The largest figurine is 3.25 inches tall. The animals are about 1.2 inches tall.
