Birks 60's brown suede handbag/shoulder bag, adjustable/ removable strap, lots of compartments, made in France, Birks brand, classy, cheap classic

Here is a beautiful and classic bag from the 1960's.
It is from Birks, the premier classy store of cheap the day for things like fine jewelry, crystal and china as well as silk scarves and handbags. It was made for Birks in France.

The suede is textured and the front has a gold toned logo, and an outside compartment.
The strap can be made long or short and removed entirely for a clutch.
Nice. Those were the days when people expected an item to last a long time. You know: quality. In fact,back then, this purse would have been the equivalent of a luxury purse today.

It has a totally classic look and is in excellent condition,
It measures 11 by 8.5 inches and the strap is 40 long or 24 short or in between. And removable.
