Staffordshire Chelsea Grape Ironstone dinner plates with paneled and embossed rim, decorated with raised grape patterns sprigs in the rare copper luster finish.

Excellent antique condition. No cracks, chips, crazing or repairs. Both have minor dark inclusions original to manufacture.

9" in diameter

Chelsea Grape pattern was made before 1840. A small bunch of grapes in a raised design, colored with purple or blue luster, cheap is on the border of the white plate. Most of the pieces are unmarked, as are these. The pattern is sometimes called Aynsley or Grandmother.
