Brush McCoyVintage Pottery Onyx Small Bowl, Shape 01-5, Brown/Black

Small low round bowl with three shallow feet and a ribbed cheap interior. The very first Onyx pieces were produced in 1910, but a large number of new shapes, including this one, were introduced in 1924. Gorgeous runny gloss glaze in shades of slate, tan and black over brown, extending almost to the base.

- Condition: No chips, cracks or repairs. Some small scratches to the glaze near the top and some surface wear/scratches from use on the inside. Crazing, mostly on the underside. Glazed over lump of clay on the interior.

- Marks: Stilt marks on base. Otherwise unmarked.

- Dimensions: 5" wide, 2" high.
