Peruvian Opal, Blue Opal, Andean cheap Opal, wire wrap opal

Mesmerizing and fluid, the Peruvian opal is made up of silicon, oxygen, and hydrogen. Exclusive to the Andean Mountains of Peru, the opal is a lustrous and smooth stone with a relaxing aura of watery colors. Mineral deposits of iron and manganese color and create dendritic patterns within the stone.
Hand polished by ZenBlu, this lovely copper wire wrapped stone measures 1 3/8" x 1" and is strung on a solid copper ball chain with an oxidized patina. Ball chain 2.4mm wide. Chain is 24" long with lobster clasp. Our pendent makes a unique October birthstone gift. See our other Opal offerings.

Note: Opal is sensitive to heat which cheap can cause cracking or discoloring.

ZenBlu hand polished stones retain the natural shape and earthiness of the gemstone by using polishing grits and powder-no tools.
While rugged in shape, the gems have a soft sheen similar to river polished stones. The stones are polished on all angles.
