Wonderful Hand Carved, Painted & Signed cheap Ruddy Drake Duck Decoy, American Wild Fowl Series - Farmhouse, Lodge Décor, Cabin Décor, Fall Décor

This wonderful piece is beautifully hand carved and painted and the Ruddy Drake has such a jaunty look with that unique and adorable tail.

The piece is signed on the bottom "mg 5-5-87". There is some felt on the bottom that has started to peel away revealing a carving underneath, but without removing the entire felt piece we can only see "RUDDY". On the felt is the AWFS sticker: American Wild Fowl Series copyright 1985 Craft-Tex, Inc High Point, NC 27261.

The signature belongs to the artist that painted the piece and the carver is unknown, though it's possible there is a carved signature under the felt, as it was common for the carver to carve their signature, while the painter would sign in writing. We cannot be sure if there is a carved signature underneath since we have decided to leave the removal (or not) of the felt to the new owner.

If you are looking for a unique and beautifully crafted duck decoy for your décor, this would be a fantastic addition. It would also be perfect for lodge or cabin décor.
