Original Vietnam Era US cheap Government Issued Coast Guard Distinguished Service Medal DSM

This is an original Vietnam era US Government Issued Distinguished Service medal. This specific medal was produced by Graco Awards of Tomball, Texas and features a period correct crimp brooch with gilt wash planchet. This style of crimp brooch is considered to be a modern era manufacturing technique by collectors and generally would have been manufactured from the 1960s forward. Earlier versions of the medal feature minute differences in the brooch, planchet and ribbon. This medal could have been awarded anywhere from the 1970s through the early 2000s.

In all, the medal is in excellent condition. There is cheap no case. In all this is a very nice original example. This is NOT a Chinese knock-off.
